Baltimore Ravens inside linebacker Jameel McClain visited the Denver Broncos on Friday, according to Aaron Wilson of The Carroll County Times.
McClain, 26, hasn’t received a lot of action thus far in free agency, but now, the four-year veteran is drawing some interest.
The 6-foot-1, 245 pounder ranked second on the Ravens with 84 tackles, trailing Pro Bowl inside linebacker Ray Lewis in 2011. McClain also finished with five pass deflections, one interception and two fumble recoveries.
McClain, who earned $1.85 million last season, beat out linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Tavares Gooden for the starting inside linebacker job two years ago, and he hasn’t let go of the job since.
For his career, McClain has 209 career tackles, 4 ½ sacks and three fumble recoveries.
No matter where he signs, McClain will be a big factor.
