The Baltimore Ravens announced on Tuesday, that  the team will hold its annual “State of the Ravens” press conference Wednesday at team headquarters in Owings Mills beginning at 2 p.m.

It is bound to draw much interest, as it’s the one day out of the entire year owner Steve Bisiciotti, president Dick Cass, general manager Ozzie Newsome and head coach John Harbaugh take questions together and offer their insights and opinions.

What is said during the one-hour session often has great influence on what changes will occur for the following season.

It’ll be interesting to see the area(s) that serve as the hot topics and gain the most attention at the press conference.

Last year, it was the decision to keep the oft-scrutinized Cam Cameron– with Biscittoi saying– “We like the idea of Cam under fire.”

The interesting topics for Wednesday will likely focus on quarterback Joe Flacco and running back Ray Rice, who both hope to sign long term extensions, as well as veterans Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, who are both expected to return next season but might not have many more years in them after 2012.
