The Baltimore Ravens released kicker Shayne Graham earlier on Tuesday and promoted rookie center/guard Justin Boren from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster, according to Aaron Wilson of The Carroll County Times.
Kicker Billy Cundiff returned from a nagging left calf injury Sunday, and he booted a 42-yard field goal and three extra points in the Ravens’ 24-16 victory over the Bengals.
In week 16 with Cundiff sidelined, Graham connected on both of his field goal attempts of 48 and 43 yards, while going two of two on extra points.
“As long as Billy’s healthy, he’ll be our kicker,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday, via The Carroll County Times. “I think we were really fortunate that Shayne was available, and I think if anything happens in the future and if he’s still available, I wouldn’t be surprised that if someone had an issue, they would pick Shayne up right away.”
