Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs and his AFC-best 13 sacks make him one of the front runners to land the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year Award.

But maybe the five-time pro bowler should be in the running for another award: Quote of the Year.

He delivered another knockout when he was asked by reporters about his chances of being named the league’s most valuable defensive player.

“I pretty much will leave it in God’s hands, leave it in Tebow’s hands,” Suggs said, which drew laughter from the Baltimore media, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com writes.

It was all in good fun, as Suggs was just taking a friendly poke at the Denver Broncos’ Tim Tebow and the quarterback’s religious character.

Here are some more unforgettable quotes from Suggs this season, via ESPN.com.

“On sacking Ben Roethlisberger more times than any other NFL defender:” “His soul may belong to God, but his [butt] belongs to me.”

“On traveling to play Pittsburgh in November:” “They already declared war on us. We’re taking 53 men to the apocalypse and we ain’t bringing flowers.”

“After losing to the San Diego Chargers:” “We’re in hell now, but we have a vacation home in hell.”
