Baltimore Ravens All-Pro middle linebacker Ray Lewis will likely not play this Sunday against the winless Indianapolis Colts, according to Aaron Wilson of the Annapolis Capital.
Lewis, 36, has been sidelined the past three games due to a turf toe injury he suffered week 10 at Seattle.
The former two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year is expected back week 15 though, when the Ravens travel to San Diego to take on the Chargers.
The Ravens have won all three games during Lewis’ absence with inside linebackers Jameel McClain, Dannell Ellerbe, Albert McClellan and Brendon Ayanbadejo filling the void left by the 12-time Pro Bowler.
Lewis has had orthotics inserted into his cleats to try to aid his recovery.
