Injury News Concerning Pittsburgh’s Harrison and Woodley

While the Pittsburgh Steelers could be getting back one of their talented outside linebackers, James Harrison, for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, their other talented bookend linebacker, Lamar Woodley, is listed as week-to-week with a hamstring injury.

Harrison should be a go for Sunday night’s contest, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He’s been sidelined the last four weeks after suffering a fractured orbital bone in Pittsburgh’s week-three 17-10 loss at Houston.

As for Woodley, he thinks he’ll be fine after suffering an injury to his hamstring in the Steelers 25-17 victory over the New England Patriots. However, Woodley is being regarded as week-to-week, even though there’s optimism that he’ll play this Sunday night when the Ravens invade Heinz Field.

    I thought just yesterday, Harrison himself tweeted that he will be out for the game.

    Conflicting reports. Who really knows what’s going on? I guess we’ll just have to see and wait 8:20 p.m. Sunday night, who plays and who sits.

      Well the first report was from Harrison’s agent— who said he would play. However, Harrison tweeted soon after that he saw the doctor and wouldn’t be playing. So there doesn’t seem to be any sign as of now that he’ll play.

    It’s just poor gamesmanship by the Pittsburgh Steelers at this point. Just trying to toy with the Ravens having to prepare for Harrison and/or Woodley. Nothing but gamesmanship at this point.

      haha, the Steelers suck, but I wouldn’t say they’re that low to go as far as lie about their reports. The Ravens offense needs to worry about other things than an injured Harrison being on the field. I’m pretty nervous about this week’s game… oline will need to step up big time.
