The Baltimore Ravens are the eighth highest scoring team in the NFL so far in 2011, according to a stat released by the NFL.
Baltimore is just one of nine teams averaging 25 points per game or more, putting the NFL on pace to tie the 2008 season for the highest number of teams to average at least 25+ points per game in NFL history.
The Ravens, who average 25.8 points per game, have had three 30+ point winning games against the Pittsburgh Steelers (35), St. Louis Rams (37) and the New York Jets (34).
The irony here is that the Ravens offense has been bashed by media and fans alike for their poor showing in Monday night’s 12-7 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yet this team has shown on multiple occasions that they can score in bunches.
