Tom Zbikowski’s status remains unclear after suffering a concussion in the Ravens’ 34-17 win over the New York Jets Sunday night.

After suffering a head injury mid-way through the game, the fourth-year veteran did not return. When Zbikowski exited, it forced the Ravens to move from its three-safety nickel package, back to the more conventional nickel approach. Rookie cornerback Danny Gorrer finished the game as the Ravens fifth defensive back.

Zbikowski, 26, has the upcoming bye week to rest and recover. However, if any symptoms from the concussion linger, Bernard Pollard could start at strong safety following the bye. The Houston Texans, Pollard’s former club, come to M&T Bank Stadium week six to take on the Ravens.
