Staff Predictions Week 4: Jets vs Ravens

Sorry we missed you guys last week. This upcoming match between the Baltimore Ravens (2-1) and the N.Y. Jets (2-2) is a big showdown, so we definitely didn’t want to miss this one.
This week, Brian and I will be deciding who the individual standouts will be against the Jets. Will Ray Rice have the same big game as McFadden had last week? Will Torrey Smith find the same success against better corners? Read on and feel free to leave your own picks in the comment section below.
Offensive MVP:
| Picks By | Player Pick | Stat Prediction | Comments |
| Brian Hradsky | Ray Rice | 120 yds rushing, 50 yds receiving, 2 TD | The Jets have struggled to stop the run. They are ranked 31st in the league in rushing yards allowed, giving up 136 per game. |
| Conoon Kim | Ed Dickson | 5 catches, 77 yds receiving, 1 TD | I’m sure the Jets don’t want to get run over again like they did last week, so they’ll keep an eye out on Rice. And they also won’t want Torrey Smith to have the same success. I think Ed Dickson sneaks in this game and has a great showing. |
Defensive MVP:
| Picks By | Player Pick | Stat Prediction | Comments |
| Brian Hradsky | Haloti Ngata | 5 tackles, 1 sack | Even if Jets center Nick Mangold plays he will probably not be at 100%. The Jets have struggled to run the ball and have been victim to the pass rush. |
| Conoon Kim | Ed Reed | 4 tackles, 1 INT | Reed has been quiet since Week 1, but that won’t last much longer. The Jet’s weak O-line will cause problems for Sanchez all night, and ultimately force him to make bad decisions. Reed will capitalize on one of them this week. |
Final Game Score:
| Picks By | Who wins? | Game Score | Comments |
| Brian Hradsky | Baltimore Ravens | 27 – 10 | Not as close as people think, 10-27 Ravens victory. |
| Conoon Kim | Baltimore Ravens | 20 – 13 | Ravens have been giving up 13 points per game (fewest in the league) and Jets have surrendered 20 per. That will be my exact score prediction; this should be a defensive game. |
This week’s staff prediction contributors are Conoon Kim and Brian Hradsky.
