Staff Predictions Week 2: Ravens vs Titans

Share

Staff predictions are back! This week, the Baltimore Ravens (1-0) travel down to LP Field to take on the Tennessee Titans (0-1).

While there isn”t much to worry in this game, we must always remember that anything can happen on any given Sunday. The Titans will look to upset the Ravens, who are coming off an emotional win. Interestingly, both Justin and I chose Reed to continue his momentum and be the defensive standout of the game. Read on for offensive MVP picks and game predictions.

Offensive MVP:

Picks By Player Pick Stat Prediction Comments
Justin Silberman Ray Rice 123 yds rushing, 38 yds receiving, 1 TD After totaling 149 yards (107 rushing, 42 receiving) against the vaunted Pittsburgh Steelers D, the sky is the limit against a rebuilding Titans defense
Conoon Kim Lee Evans 4 catches, 87 yds receiving, 1 TD While it may be a little premature to choose Evans, I think the Titans will overlook him and focus their attention on Boldin. Look for Flacco to take some shots down-field.

Defensive MVP:

Picks By Player Pick Stat Prediction Comments
Justin Silberman Ed Reed 6 tackles, 1 INT Is this the game Ed Reed breaks the interception return yards record? He is just 20 yards away…
Conoon Kim Ed Reed 3 tackles, 2 INT In each of the past 3 regular season games, Reed has notched 2 INT. I”m going to be positive and say that streak continues, at least for one more game.

Final Game Score:

Picks By Who wins? Game Score Comments
Justin Silberman Baltimore Ravens 27 – 10 No Steelers hangover in this one. With a rebuilding Titans team, the Ravens will flex their muscles and show why they are the superior team in this matchup
Conoon Kim Baltimore Ravens  31 – 14 Shouldn”t take much effort to win this one, and 30 points should be no problem.

This week”s staff prediction contributors are Conoon Kim and Justin Silberman.
