2010 NFL Power Rankings Week 7

Share

The Baltimore Ravens lost to the New England Patriots, but they are still our number one team. The Ravens have the most talent, and we’re not buying that a close loss to the Patriots in overtime should drop them in rankings.

The Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins fall out of our rankings while the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings jump back in. With the top 2 spots unchanged for the past 3 weeks, continue reading to see who the other 13 teams are.

Ravens

4-2-0 They let one get away from them in New England, but get ready [because] Ed Reed’s coming back… (Gene)
2
Steelers
4-1-0 Big Ben looked better than ever! Oh wait, he was playing the Cleveland Browns. Not sold. (Conoon)
3
Jets
5-1-0 Sanchez struggled, but somehow managed to win. Only up here because they have the best record in the league, 5-1. (Conoon)
4
Patriots
4-1-0 Strong and impressive win, but they still need to work on pass coverage. (Alex)
5 Saints 4-2-0 A nice win gives them a boost, but the reality of beating a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team will catch up to them. (Conoon)
6
Colts
4-2-0 Their offense is great, of course, but can they stop the run? (Gene)
7
Giants
4-2-0 They are in a nice spot at the top of their division, but that could quickly crumble like their defense. (Conoon)
8 Falcons 4-2-0 A surprising loss to the Eagles, but they have all the right tools to bounce back. (Conoon)
9 Eagles 4-2-0 Looking good; Desean Jackson suffered an injury though. (Alex)
10
Dolphins
3-2-0 Dolphins showing why they traded for Marshall. (Alex)
11 Texans 4-2-0 Back on track after a huge comeback. (Gene)
12 Packers 3-3-0 Packers losing some close games. They haven’t recovered from the loss to the Bears on MNF. (Gene)
13
Titans
4-2-0 A near shut-out win, but can they continue their success with Kerry Collins under center? (Conoon)
14 Chiefs 3-2-0 Let’s give them credit. They are battling tough against good teams. (Gene)
15 Vikings 2-3-0 The Favre-Moss combination could be deadly if they continue to build chemistry. (Conoon)

This week’s rankings were based on a poll of our staff writers: Conoon Kim, Gene Winner, and Alex Bishop.
