2010 NFL Power Rankings Week 6

The (4-1) Baltimore Ravens stay atop the #1 spot in our rankings after dismantling the (2-3) Denver Broncos 31-17. One of the biggest falls is the (3-2) New Orleans Saints; after losing to the (3-2) Arizona Cardinal, the Super Bowl hangover is happening right before our eyes.
The (3-2) Houston Texans also dropped way down the list, and the (2-3) San Diego Chargers are no longer serious contenders after losing to the (2-3) Oakland Raiders.

Green: Up in rankings
Red: Down in rankings
Black: No change

| 1 |
|
4-1-0 | Has wins over two of the best teams in the league already. (Rob) |
| 2 | Steelers |
3-1-0 | They can only improve on offense with Big Ben back. We know their defense is excellent. (Gene) |
| 3 | Jets |
4-1-0 | Huge Monday night win, Holmes will make this team even better. (Rob) |
| 4 | Colts |
3-2-0 | Their pass rush is explosive, but their run defense is porous. Peyton Manning is their best shot. (Conoon) |
| 5 | 3-2-0 | They’re rebounding nicely under Coughlin. (Alex) | |
| 6 | Patriots |
3-1-0 | Their blowout game against Miami was not convincing. They still have a terrible defense. Let’s see what they can do against Baltimore. (Conoon) |
| 7 | Falcons |
4-1-0 | Moving up on the depth charts— starting to put it all together now. (Gene) |
| 8 | 3-2-0 | Rodgers better get healthy. (Alex) | |
| 9 | 3-2-0 | Elite teams can overcome their turnovers… this team is no longer elite. (Rob) | |
| 10 | Bears |
4-1-0 | Mike Martz has a stellar back with Matt Forte. (Alex) |
| 11 | 3-2-0 | It’s always nice to win with an inferior QB at the helm. (Rob) | |
| 12 | 3-2-0 | Knocked out the Cowboys. They are making noise. (Gene) | |
| 13 | Texans |
3-2-0 | I knew a weak defense would hurt them later in the season, now the offense is affected by it. (Conoon) |

3-1-0 | Battled well against Indy. Showing they are for real for the time being. (Gene) |
| 15 | 3-2-0 | So far the best team in their division. They will be tested against the Colts next week. (Conoon) |
This week’s rankings were based on a poll of our staff writers: Conoon Kim, Gene Winner, Rob Brown, and Alex Bishop.
