A sigh of relief for many as WR Derrick Mason agrees to a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
After facing possible retirement, Mason finally agrees to finish his career in Baltimore. We all know the importance and value of Mason and what he brings to the organization. Mason has worked well with Flacco for the past 2 years, so his return will help keep Flacco confident. Besides his experience and personality, check out Mason’s unquestionable toughness when he makes a tough 62-yard touchdown catch:
With Anquan Boldin by his side, and Mark Clayton and Donte Stallworth right behind, the Raven’s wide receiving core has just been upgraded tremendously. Having two “No. 1″ capable receivers will finally give QB Joe Flacco the needed weapons in the passing game. All signs are pointing to a breakout-season for Flacco.
The only breath I’m holding now is for FS Ed Reed to re-sign.
